Enjoy delicious afternoon tea with a gorgeous view of Lake Louise in Banff, Canada.
For my first ever post featuring afternoon Thi (tea, get it?!), I am so excited to share my experience at Fairview Restaurant in Banff. It is located at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, the most iconic hotel in Banff National Park. Not only was the tea and finger foods delicious, the view of Lake Louise made it even more surreal. Ask to be seated by one of the big table-to-ceiling windows to get the most out of your tea party.
HOURS OF OPERATION
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday | Served in Fairview Restaurant
Monday – Friday | Served in Lakeview Lounge
This place is quite popular so I highly recommend you make a reservation as soon as you finish reading this blog post. Don’t leave it up to chance after hiking or canoeing to get a table. We saw a few parties getting turned away when they tried to do this. You can book online or contact Concierge directly at [email protected] or 403-522-1601.
COST
It is $65 USD per person ($70 in the winter) but you can opt to add Champagne, Prosecco, a cocktail, or sparkling for an additional fee. We had other activities planned afterwards so we only stuck with tea.
MENU
They change up the flavors of their scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts depending on the season. I am positive the rotating flavors are just as tasty! And don’t worry my vegan and vegetarian friends, they have a special menu for your dietary needs as well. There are 11 exotic flavors of tea to choose from, so there’s bound to be one that matches your palette. My friends and I each ordered a different one so we could sample 4 flavors. Highly recommend this method! You can download the most up to date menu here.

DIRECTIONS
We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louis so the restaurant was conveniently located on the first floor near the lobby. If you’re staying in Downtown Banff like most visitors, you can easy drive about 45 minutes to the hotel. However, keep in mind that they have a small parking lot for the public and it’s mostly packed with other tourists who want to canoe or hike around Lake Louis. To ensure you won’t miss your reservation and not waste time looking for a parking spot, I would suggest taking the bus from downtown. You can catch the 50-minute bus ride from the Banff High School Transit Hub and be dropped of at Lake Louise Village or the final stop, which is within walking distance to Lake Louise where the hotel is located. There are tours, shuttles, and private drivers that you can look into as well.
